Captain Cockroach Genus: Maxis Vor (The Twisted Earth) Entymology: The world of Maxis Vor, the Twisted Earth, is one giant radioactive badland after the fallout from early chapters of the protracted Z'Zen-Skaron War. As a result it is the home to numerous unique mutant life-forms, and generally regarded as a rough, lawless place to be avoided by civilised beings at all costs. Captain Cockroach is one such mutant, and was acting as the local sheriff at his outpost when the Earthworm and H.I.V.E. Cell 3 were forced to visit. He accepted their invitation to join them and see more of the universe. He was a natural choice for King Be's Special Missions Corps, since if he could survive on the Twisted Earth, it was reasoned he could survive pretty much anywhere. Insect Traits: Captain Cockroach has a dual metabolism. His body runs on normal chemical processes most of the time, but he can kick in a secondary set of nuclear reactions in his body for brief periods of time, making him faster, and boosting his considerable regenerative traits to the point where he heals almost instantly. This mutation is partly latent, and using it causes him to weaken considerably afterwards. He is much stronger and tougher than a normal human, able to lift about 1000 lb above his head. His torso is covered in a tough chitin carapace that can resist small calibre fire. His radioactive metabolism allows him to absorb most poison and radiation, although absorbing too much too quickly can leave him intoxicated.
