Some loading screen sketches that didn't make it into the Strangers that I found tonight.
Devil Doll holding the House of Cards in her hands, with the four chief villains depicted on the cards. I'm not sure where this one was ever meant to fit in.

The Spider leading Ace astray from his art criminal family. This image was eventually compressed into just Ace and Spider, I think to make her visible in her shrunken state.

Adam Zorn doing what he does best - crying! This close up of Miss Amazing's hand and the disc without showing his full face worked quite well, obviously well enough for me to get around to inking it. In the end though, the final image with both characters visible worked better. Screw the disc - Miss Amazing may be dead!

I liked this one for showing the size difference between Devil Doll (teenage devil girl) and Anemone (underwater amazon), and DD's expression is great, but it wasn't a patch on the final image. I think the giant brain with the two sleeping figures still captures them both well, but adds a whole extra level of surrealism and threat that poking a tiny little brain-sized brain just doesn't do.
